

He studied physics at the Technical University of Munich and at University Claude Bernard in Lyon, France. He obtained his Ph.D. from Ludwig Maximilians University for work on medical physics (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). After qualifying as a German and European patent attorney, he graduated in French intellectual property protection from the Centre d’Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle (CEIPI) in Strasbourg. He then passed the French patent attorney examination and is now also registered as a qualified person before the French Patent Office (INPI). Florian Bertsch joined Kraus & Weisert in 2005 and has been a partner since then. Dr. Bertsch’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, infringement matters and licensing. His technical expertise includes automotive engineering, medical technology and communication technology.
Dr. Bertsch enjoys to spend his spare time with his four children and loves to go skiing in winter.
