He received his doctorate for experimental work on semiconductor nanostructures. His scientific work spanned the fields of magnetism, low-temperature physics, fundamental electronics and micromechanics. In the patent area he specializes on inventions in the field of electronics, communication technology and mechanics.
Dr. Schwarz enjoys a nice sportive challenge. In this respect, one of his most exciting experiences was swimming three kilometers through the Baltic Sea from Denmark to Germany. Presently, his sports activities are focused on running. Dr. Schwarz also loves to spend his spare time together with his wife, going to the movies, the theatre or a concert.
